good point. There is indeed a configuration setting xdvi.keepPosition
(toggle with k, set with 1k, clear with 0k) that affects this behaviour:
Without keepPosition, the horizontal position is reset with either
PgDown or Space. With keepPosition, it is kept with PgDown, but not with
Space. I’d say it should affect both PgDown and Space in the same way.
