Dear Martin,

a few year ago Frank Küster sent you this E-Mail. Did you have a
chance to look into the problem?

<snip>
a user of tetex in the Debian GNU/Linux system has found an error in
your count1to package, when used together with hyperref. The problem is
that count1to writes to the aux file:

\immediate\write\@mainaux{\string\newlabel{TotalPages}{{\the\count1}{\the\count1}}}

but hyperref redefines \label so that \newlabel has more arguments,
giving an error in the second run of the following minimal document:

\documentclass{minimal}

\usepackage{hyperref}
\usepackage{count1to}

\begin{document}
\ref{TotalPages}

\end{document}

For a solution, you might want to have a look at the totpages package,
which happens to be from an other ACM member who also lives in Bremen,
Wilhelm Müller. Note that, while totpages.sty says it has been inspired
by count1to sty, it does not provide all its functionality. Therefore it
would be nice to get count1to.sty hyperref-compatible.
<snap>

Thank you

P.S. Please be so kind and leave the numbered bug address in the
Cc:-line, so that mails get correctly archived.
