Package: texlive-binaries
Version: 2009-1
Severity: normal

Coin,

Upgrading texlive from 2007 to 2009 in experimental gave:
Unpacking texlive-binaries (from .../texlive-binaries_2009-1_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/texlive-binaries_2009-1_i386.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/disdvi', which is also in package dvi2tty 0:5.3.1-4

Seems it should Conflicts/Replaces dvi2tty.

I guess i should still apply to 2009-3 too (reporting with a slight delay).

Regards.

Coin,

Quoting Norbert Preining <preining@logic.at>:

No, dvi2ttty is only present in etch which is old-stable. We don't carry
any references to that old packgaes.

Why do you have still dvi2tty installed?

Why ? How should i know ?
I guess it should have been removed when apt is able to remove useless dependencies, or with a deborphan detection and manual removal, but it wasn't. I personnaly didn't ask for it for sure.

Closing this bug.

As you wish...
