Although apt-get dist-upgrade works as it should, I have difficulties
with aptitude full-upgrade (or dist-upgrade). I did not know that the
dependence resolvers of apt-get and aptitude were so different (I use
aptitude on a daily basis for a couple of years now).
Aptitude full-upgrade proposes many solutions, but none of them
contained the removal of texlive-base-bin. In order to have a similar
output as with apt-get, I have to ask explicitely the removal of
texlive-base-bin:
# aptitude dist-upgrade texlive-base-bin-
