Hi, people.
I'm just testing Norbert's take of pre-tl 2009 packages and it is indeed
very good.
One problem, though: some of the scripts under
/usr/share/texmf-texlive/scripts are linked to from /usr/bin, but they
are not executable.
In particular, I was looking for pkfix + pkfix-helper, but found that
the problem is also existent in other scripts, with just a quick glance.
I didn't dig any further on the sources, but I may do that if you guys
point me to the right directions (is the right section of the svn tree
texlive-new/trunk/ or is that texlive2009/trunk/ ?).

Well spotted.
I have committed a new script and a change to rules.in in
texlive2009/trunk/all/debian
to fix that.
The next days I will build another set from the final release of TL2009.
And then probably upload ...
