texlive-latex-extra contains achemso style files (both LaTeX and BibTeX) for
articles published by the American Chemical Society.
The current version in texlive-latex-extra is from 2007. ACS has
now released a new version 2009/04/28 v3.2b, found at
http://pubs.acs.org/userimages/ContentEditor/1221146560271/achemso.tds.zip
( http://pubs.acs.org/page/4authors/submission/tex.html )
The new package includes a proper LaTeX2e class file.
