I have also *REMOVED* the code that
rm -f /usr/local/share/texmf/ls-R
since that is against policy and it should not be there unless an admin
has called mktexlsr manually.
That should settle these problems. Thanks for reminding me on that
issue, otherwise it would have skipped.
