You mean what can be seen in
	$ pdfinfo hello.pdf
	Title: My title
	Subject: Document
	Keywords:
	Author: Daniel Leidert
	Creator: LaTeX with hyperref package
	Producer: pdfTeX-1.40.9
	CreationDate: Mon May 18 17:25:07 2009
	ModDate: Mon May 18 17:25:07 2009
	Tagged: no
	Pages: 1
	Encrypted: no
	Page size: 595.276 x 841.89 pts (A4)
	File size: 12342 bytes
	Optimized: no
	PDF version: 1.4

Under Title?

dvitype of the .dvi shows something like
	/Title (My title) ... /Author (Daniel Leidert) ...
so I guess the stuff is simply not evaluated by dvipdfm(x).

So yes, that is probably a feature that is not supported by dvipdfm(x).

More I cannot tell, unfortunately.

Best wishes
