Open Requests for pkg-teTeX
Hi,
back in 2005 Frank Küster opened a few feature requests for pkg-teTeX
at Debian Alioth. Two of them are still open:
[#301862] transition code for updmap.cfg must be improved
There exists already some code to incorporate user's changes, if they
had previously declined to use update-updmap. The same mechanism can
probably also be used to make the transition from 00updmap.cfg to
01tetex-base.cfg
[#301955] simplify filelists.mk: Drop most of the doc stuff
The file list for tetex-doc is not needed, because doc is simply
everything in texmf/doc. The generation of files.doc
and files.all-nodoc in stampdir is only needed so that the
documentation files for tetex extra are not tried to move.
This could be simplified - we don't need complicated patterns when
all we are interested in is just the path ./doc.
We could also think about a tetex-extra-doc, but I don't know whether
this is a good idea
Frank: are they still of any relevance or should we simply close
them?
Merry Christmas to all of you, who celebrate it.
Regards,
Hilmar
