Bug#412242: tetex-bin: mktexpk places some fonts in the current directory

It works fine for me now.

However it misbehaved after upgrade from etch to lenny (today).
After upgrade, the above command placed generated fonts under /tmp/texfonts.
When I removed all traces of TeX from the system and reinstalled texlive,
it swithed to the expected ~/.texmf-var. This is probably an unrelated issue,
and I cannot reproduce it any more.
