Ow... I'm still trying to compile "gkai". How come it only shows bsmi and bkai? Hmm, debhelper v7.0.11 added a build dependency on "file". Perhaps this could explain the cryptic "file" error message? But there is more: see #490329 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=490329 The bug reporter seems to suffer from the same problem; perhaps "shlibs" is the culprit. Ha! Perhaps this time it's not my fault, for once! :D I'll investigate further once my own binary build is finished (in a few hours from now).
