Sure, I guess I need to forward this one to the TeX maintainers (CC'ed), because
this is just an artifact of building the PDF documentation.

But anyway, IMHO this is not the cause of the FTBFS, rather that one seems to be
odd:

shell-init: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory
Error: dot: can't open Constraint__System_8types_8hh__dep__incl.dot

Could not open file /build/buildd/ppl-0.9/doc/devref.html-dir/conversion_8cc.html for writing
