Before sendint it to you I sent it to Norbert Preining, but I got
back an automatic reply stating that he won't be back until Jul. 10,

I've been using your Deban TeXLive 2007 package repository[1] for a
while now, and I sincerely thank you for your job.

Since today I'm getting the following error when updating my local
package database:

 sudo apt-get update

 ...

 Impossibile ottenere
http://people.debian.org/~preining/TeX/tl2007/Packages.gz  Somma MD5
non corrispondente

Which means, "Couldn't get http://.../Packages.gz MD5 sums do not
match."

Everything else is working nominally, so maybe something is going
wrong in your repository?

May you check please, or help me troubleshooting this issue?
