Oh, there was crap in the ls-R files. After removing them and trying to
reinstall texlive-base-bin this warning dissappeared and now these files
seem to have their correct content. But installation still fails with
tcfmgr: config file `tcfmgr.map' (usually in $TEXMFMAIN/texconfig) not
found.
fmtutil: config file `fmtutil.cnf' not found.
tcfmgr.map exists at /usr/share/texmf/texconfig/tcfmgr.map
fmtutil.cnf exists at /var/lib/texmf/web2c/fmtutil.cnf and
/usr/share/texmf-texlive/web2c/fmtutil.cnf

/usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf exists and points at /etc/texmf/texmf.cnf,
which also exists.
