Since you seem to know xdvizilla: Is it useful for anything at all these
days?  I don't think I have it anywhere in my firefox configuration, but
dvi files seem to work fine. And if there's a problem with gz'ipped
files (I don't know whether that is true), then I'd argue that's a bug
in firefox.
