Just have to forcibly remove leading whitespace from `line', I guess.
I'll look into it.

I hope you are aware that Ben Asselstine has implemented everything that
we know of that's needed for GNU ii to be used by Debian.  I hope to
make a pretest soon so you can conveniently test it.  (I know it will
still take plenty of time for the switch to be finalized.)
