I must confess I'm quite ignorant about all that. Julian should be able
to help you much better. My limited understanding of these things leads
me to think that we are not using
/usr/lib/subversion/hook-scripts/commit-email.pl, but a copy of another,
probably older, version of this script, maybe even customized for us,
and which is stored as alioth:/svn/debian-tex/hooks/commit-email.pl.

Therefore, I don't think the syntax change will affect us. Maybe we
should switch to the script provided under /usr/lib/; but frankly, I
don't know.

As an aside:

Looking at this, I found something I don't understand with my ssh
setup. I can ssh to alioth.debian.org without any problem, but when I
use scp to copy my .zsh* files from gluck to alioth, I get this:

  % scp frn@gluck.debian.org:.zsh{rc,env} frn@alioth.debian.org:
No RSA host key is known for alioth.debian.org and you have requested strict checking.
  Host key verification failed.
  lost connection

  %

I've tried to readd alioth's key to ~/.ssh/known-hosts, but nothing
seems to help. Do you experience the same thing?

Note: I have "CheckHostIP yes" and "StrictHostKeyChecking ask" in my
  ~/.ssh/config.
