Hi,
I would like to use some usual characters in UTF-8 Latex documents.
Those characters used to compile with Latex when my documents were
encoded in Latin1/Latin9. I switched the encoding to UTF-8 to match the
default Debian locale. Now the documents do not compile any longer and
pdflatex outputs error messages such as this one:
$ pdflatex utf8.tex
[...]
! Package inputenc Error: Unicode char \u8:° not set up for use with
LaTeX.
Other characters are concerned (do you need a list ?). I expect at
least all characters from Latin1 and Latin9 charsets to be usable in
UTF-8.
