I saw your mail in debian-release, but It did not mention that it
was a API break, requiring maintainers to fix their packages to
match. Giving a advance warning of such changes to maintainers via BTS
would really be appreceated.

Notice that this transition has now made texlive-latex-recommended
uninstallable in sid, thus causing various packages build-depending
on it to FTBFS..
