To be honest, it is a bit too much for the maintainer of DOC packages to
keep updating build dependency changes.

Can you tex people to provide something like: tex-build-essential (or
texlive-build-full) which provides all required fonts and language
specific features.  Then everyone can have easytime.

As far as immediate impact, it should be OK since this is Architecture:
all and unlikely to be auto-build.
