a lot of people are waiting for input from walter schmidt; i'm beginning
to worry that he's seriously ill, or something.

i know of a contract he agreed to undertake, but he's disappeared from
the sight of the contracting people.

there are things i would like to ask him (faq-related), but i'm holding
off for signs that he's active again.
