Package: texlive-science
Version: 2007-3
Severity: normal
Hello,
it sounds that texlive-chemistry has been merged into texlive-science,
but now I can't find chemsym.sty now.
Why?
Thanks.
-- Package-specific info:
If you report an error when running one of the TeX-related binaries
(latex, pdftex, metafont,...), or if the bug is related to bad or wrong
output, please include a MINIMAL example input file that produces the
error in your report. Don't forget to also include minimal examples of
other files that are needed, e.g. bibtex databases. Often it also helps
to include the logfile. Please, never send included pictures!
If your example file isn't short or produces more than one page of
output (except when multiple pages are needed to show the problem),
you can probably minimize it further. Instructions on how to do that
can be found at
http://www.latex-einfuehrung.de/mini-en.html (english)
or
http://www.latex-einfuehrung.de/mini.html (german)

chemsym.sty was removed due to licensing problems. It cannot be
distributed for a fee, thus it had to be removed from upstream TeX Live,
and also from Debian.
Please get it from your local CTAN mirror and install it into
/usr/local/share/texmf
or into
$HOME/texmf
http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/chemsym/
Best wishes
Norbert

And wow! Hey! What's this thing coming towards me very
fast? Very very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a
big wide sounding word like... ow... ound... round...
ground! That's it! That's a good name - ground!
I wonder if it will be friends with me?
