I suggest that we adopt a policy of "If one of the maintainers finds it
personally important enough to provide a fix, we do it. Otherwise,
nobody has any rights (except joining the team and doing the work)".
If you hadn't done it, I'd have taken the task: I use the KOMA-script
classes daily. Similarly for, say, important hyperref bugs. On the
other hand, problems with listings usually don't bother me.
By the way, Michael, I had the same problems with local updates as you
describe. What I decided to do in the future is to keep copies of fixed
files, if it is really necessary, in the current directory of the
document I use them for. Doesn't work well with your class of choice,
though...
