Package: texlive-latex-recommended Version: 2007-4 Severity: important After a recent upgrade, I cannot use komaskript any more, instead I get: ! Class scrlttr2 Error: font of element `sectioning' can't be extended. See the scrlttr2 class documentation for explanation. Type H <return> for immediate help. ... l.3 \addtokomafont{sectioning}{\rmfamily} This is on documents that have previously worked fine. Something must have been screwed up because what I am doing is perfectly sensible. This may be related to #421079. -- Package-specific info: ################################## minimal input file \documentclass{scrlttr2} \addtokomafont{sectioning}{\rmfamily} \begin{document} \begin{letter}{to} Bla \end{letter} \end{document} -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (750, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (250, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages texlive-latex-recommended depends on: ii texlive-common 2007-4 TeX Live: Base component ii texlive-latex-base 2007-4 TeX Live: Basic LaTeX packages Versions of packages texlive-latex-recommended recommends: ii latex-beamer 3.06.dfsg.1-0.1 LaTeX class to produce presentatio ii latex-xcolor 2.09-1 Easy driver-independent TeX class pn prosper <none> (no description available) Versions of packages tex-common depends on: ii debconf 1.5.13 Debian configuration management sy ii ucf 2.0021 Update Configuration File: preserv Versions of packages texlive-latex-recommended is related to: pn tetex-base <none> (no description available) ii tetex-bin 2007-4 TeX Live: teTeX transitional packa ii tetex-extra 2007-4 TeX Live: teTeX transitional packa -- debconf information excluded -- .''`. martin f. krafft <madduck@debian.org> : :' : proud Debian developer, author, administrator, and user `. `'` http://people.debian.org/~madduck - http://debiansystem.info `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing systemsAttachment: signature.asc

Hi Martin! Closing this bug. > This is on documents that have previously worked fine. Something > must have been screwed up because what I am doing is perfectly > sensible. No, it is documented. Read /usr/share/doc/texlive-latex-recommended/latex/koma-script/scrguien.pdf or /usr/share/doc/texlive-latex-recommended/latex/koma-script/scrguide.pdf Table 6.11 gives the list of fonts which can be changed with \setkomafont of \addtokomafont, and sectioning does not occur there. I guess the idea is that a letter does not have sectioning.
