Hm, which problems are you having exactly? I have never used these
fonts, but it seems to me they should work with texlive-fonts-extra:
aramaic.sty, aram10.tfm, (o)t1aram.fd
Can you please show a small example file that doesn't work properly with
texlive-fonts-extra installed?
