I wanted to try it, but I'm afraid that my download limit last month
has, uhm, exceeded... I need two more days before the counter is
reset, so by then I'll probably be able to see why the Debian TeXlive
package doesn't bork at all.
You could try to contact the pdfTeX devel list, but I'm afraid that
they will need more info anyway.
I promise that I'll try it out as soon as my download counter is
reset, and report back when I get more info to send to the devel
list.
