Hm, I usually drop the gz extensions for documentation, since I never
know whether we're going to change this in the future. However, for dvi
it's unlikely, since xdvi can handle dvi.gz transparently: Fixed in SVN.

Because it adds build-depends, and it isn't required by policy (as long
as we know that it's possible).
