About the license of the algorithms

Hi there, people.

While I was teaching João Paulo and Victor about the repository in
Subversion, its web interface via websvn, how CTAN works, how a TeX
distribution is made, the Debian TeX Subpolicy etc, I saw this:
http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/debian-tex/tetex-base/trunk/debian/tpm/algorithms.tpm?op=file&rev=0&sc=0

Does it mean that algorithms may have a problem with licenses? Do you
need any further information from me?

I plan, BTW, given the request of many users in the last few months, to
implement some new features and upload a new version of algorithms.

I would love if this were included in TeX Live (or teTeX, but I
understand that Frank is willing to let teTeX be "frozen" the way that
Thomas Esser left it, with just fixes that are really important for it
to be usable in Debian).

So, is there anything that should be made to keep the license of
algorithms kosher?

Thanks for any information, Rogério Brito.
