As I've recently become a DD it is tempting to become more involved in 
other areas of Debian than I've been so far, but I think I should pass on 
this offer/request.

Although we use teTeX in the build process for the Installation Guide I 
hardly have any idea what's happening there :-P
I'm currently quite heavily involved in Debian Installer and that looks to 
increase rather than decrease. I'm also getting involved in release 
management for X for sarge and woody. Getting involved in one of the 
other large package constellations seems like asking for trouble ATM, 
especially as my packaging skills are still minimal...
