Thanks to all who replied to my problem. Sorry not to get back sooner but I was down (300 miles away) installing the computer. I wound up using the debian source package which is heavily patched from the original. I also fixed a couple of my config errors. Then it worked. Thanks again, bob rvh@abcreek.wisequackranch.com
