Re: base root file system for testing Distribution



Personally, I use these directions:

and use debootstrap to create my base filesystems.  FYI you can't
deboostrap anything above woody with the woody version.  Backports.org
will have an updated version that can bootstrap sarge and sid.  Basic
usage of deboostrap goes something like "deboostrap sarge destdir/". 
You can specify ARCH and mirror if you wish, though the defaults usually
work well.  For further directions, see 'man deboostrap'.
