----------------------------------------------------------------------- Debian Stable Updates Announcement SUA 227-1 https://www.debian.org debian-release@lists.debian.org Aurelien Jarno October 21st, 2022 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Package : glibc Version : 2.31-13+deb11u5 [bullseye] Importance : medium glibc is the GNU C Library, used by the majority of programs in Debian. The update to the glibc packages included in the 11.5 point release introduced a regression affecting some 4th Generation Intel Core ("Haswell") CPUs, leading to crashes on those systems. This update fixes that regression. In some cases the regression may also be mitigated by a firmware update provided by the system manufacturer. Upgrade Instructions -------------------- You can get the updated packages by adding the stable-updates archive for your distribution to your /etc/apt/sources.list: deb https://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-updates main deb-src https://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-updates main You can also use any of the Debian archive mirrors.
