Could you also please consider the patch attached to the bug?

About the placements of the call to the module. The "close" part should
always be the 1st of the session stack. The "open" part, should be
placed the last one in the stack, we might want to tweak its position
later if people are reporting issues (I'm mainly thinking about the
pam_mail module) in the default config.
