Package: openssh-client
Version: 1:4.2p1-5
Severity: normal

Please remove version control tags from these files:

  moduli:1:# $OpenBSD: moduli,v 1.3 2005/01/24 10:29:06 dtucker Exp $
  ssh_config:1:#	$OpenBSD: ssh_config,v 1.20 2005/01/28 09:45:53 dtucker Exp $

They cause triggering unnecessary conflict resolution like:

    Configuration file `/etc/ssh/moduli'
==> File on system created by you or by a script.
==> File also in package provided by package maintainer.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
	Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
	N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : background this process to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
    *** moduli (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ?

In addition, if those files are imported to sysadms own version control
those tags may possibly cause conflicts as well. The files under /etc
shoudl be considered local to the system, where outside information
is removed.

 .
   [ Colin Watson ]
   * Ignore errors from usermod when changing sshd's shell, since it will
fail if the sshd user is not local (closes: #398436).
   * Remove version control tags from /etc/ssh/moduli and /etc/ssh/ssh_config
to avoid unnecessary conffile resolution steps for administrators
     (thanks, Jari Aalto; closes: #335259).
   * Fix quoting error in configure.ac and regenerate configure (thanks, Ben
     Pfaff; closes: #391248).
   * When installing openssh-client or openssh-server from scratch, remove
any unchanged conffiles from the pre-split ssh package to work around a
bug in sarge's dpkg (thanks, Justin Pryzby and others; closes: #335276).
 .
   [ Russ Allbery ]
   * Create transitional ssh-krb5 package which enables GSSAPI configuration
     in sshd_config (closes: #390986).
   * Default client to attempting GSSAPI authentication.
   * Remove obsolete GSSAPINoMICAuthentication from sshd_config if it's
     found.
   * Add ssh -K option, the converse of -k, to enable GSSAPI credential
     delegation (closes: #401483).
