Fine, the next OpenSSH update will restore the old behavior.

By default, OpenSSH 3.8 uses the X Security extension to export only a
subset of the X11 API to remote clients which is deemed safe even for
non-trusted clients.  Unfortunately, too many clients don't work with
the API subset because hardly anybody has used it before.
