That's odd, because AFAICT, that version is no longer available - this
is from packages.debian.org:
stable ssh 1:3.4p1-1.woody.3 (627.6k)
Secure rlogin/rsh/rcp replacement (OpenSSH)
testing ssh 1:3.6.1p2-9 (635.2k)
Secure rlogin/rsh/rcp replacement (OpenSSH)
unstable ssh 1:3.6.1p2-9 (635.
And from http://packages.qa.debian.org/o/openssh.html:
Last version 1:3.6.1p2-9
Security Updates (stable) 1:3.4p1-1.woody.3
Testing 1:3.6.1p2-9
Testing Proposed Updates 1:3.6.1p2-3.sarge.1
Stable 1:3.4p1-1
Stable Proposed Updates 1:3.4p1-1.woody.3
And here's from a stable box with security updates in it's sources list:
steve@mercury:~$ apt-cache show ssh
Package: ssh
Priority: standard
Section: net
Installed-Size: 1508
Maintainer: Matthew Vernon <matthew@debian.org>
Architecture: i386
Source: openssh
Version: 1:3.4p1-1.woody.3
Provides: rsh-client
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.2.4-4), libpam0g (>= 0.72-1), libssl0.9.6,
libwrap0, zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4), libpam-modules (>= 0.72-9), debconf,
adduser
The depends look fine (and are, because it instaled without a problem on
that box). Perhaps you have a stale source? Have you recently apt-get
update'd? Maybe take a look at apt-cache policy ssh and see where this
version is being pulled from.
