Install fails on Ultra 10 Workstation

Hello All,

I'm having some problems getting Debian working on a Sun Ultra 10 Workstation that I inherited.

Initally the install went without issue, but when trying to boot the system, I get the following:

(begin output)
ok boot disk1:1
Resetting ...

Sun Ultra 5/10 UPA/PCI (UltraSPARC-IIi 440MHz), No Keyboard
OpenBoot 3.25, 512 MB (50 ns) memory installed, Serial #15190662.
Ethernet address 8:0:20:e7:ca:86, Host ID: 80e7ca86.

Rebooting with command: boot disk1:1
Boot device: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/disk@1,0:1 File and args:
SILO Version 1.4.13
boot:
Allocated 8 Megs of memory at 0x40000000 for kernel
Uncompressing image...
Loaded kernel version 2.6.18
Loading initial ramdisk (4706723 bytes at 0x30000000 phys, 0x40C00000 virt)...
Illegal Instruction
ok
(end output)

I'm using another pc running terminal emulation since I don't have a sun keyboard or display.

I decided to try to reinstall the system again, to see if I got the same results, but now I can't even get the installer to start. I get the following:

(begin output)
ok boot cdrom
Resetting ...

The installer worked perfectly the first time around about two hours ago. But not now.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
