Re: sarge on Sunfire V240
I've never had to do this for a Sunfire V240, however is should be
possible to make your own kernel on another linux sparc machine that
includes all the drivers you need (and nothing you don't). Do this the
debian way and make a kernel package.
Then with a little work you can replace original kernel with this one in
the install media and voila!
I did this several years ago to get debian installed on a compaq server
that I was having issues with, worked like a charm.
If you do this, and it works, post a copy of the compiled kernel for
others....
