Package: snapshot.debian.org
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
I'm seeing an issue using snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian-security for wheezy.
Since it works every other try, could it be that one of your mirrors is out of sync/misconfigured?
* What led up to the situation?
I first noticed the bug when I changed the line
deb http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian-security/20140926T211744Z wheezy/updates main contrib non-free
to
deb http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian-security/20141015T190511Z wheezy/updates main contrib non-free
and ran apt-get update afterwards.
*Please note: The result is the same whether I use "apt-get -o Acquire::Check-Valid-Until=false update" or simply "apt-get update".*
*Also, I made sure proxies are not used.:*
export
declare -x HOME="/root"
declare -x LOGNAME="root"
declare -x MAIL="/var/mail/root"
declare -x NCURSES_NO_UTF8_ACS="1"
declare -x OLDPWD
declare -x PATH="/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin"
declare -x PWD="/root"
declare -x SHELL="/bin/bash"
declare -x SHLVL="1"
declare -x SSH_AUTH_SOCK="XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"
declare -x SSH_CLIENT="XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX XXXXX XXXXX"
declare -x SSH_CONNECTION="XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX XXXXX XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX XXXXX"
declare -x SSH_TTY="/dev/pts/2"
declare -x TERM="xterm"
declare -x USER="root"
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
I ran apt-get update, encountered the error, ran it again, error seems to be gone.
Running it again, error is back, and again, error is gone. etc. etc.
So far, every odd-numbered attempt fails, every even-numbered attempt works.
* What was the outcome of this action?
# Here's the result of every odd-numbered attempt:
