Daniel,I have prepared a new version of libxml-encoding-perl. As this is the package you care about, you can review it first before anyone uplaods it: http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/pkg-perl/trunk/libxml-encoding-perl/ Points worth drawing attention to:
1.) I had to change the repository browser to ViewVC. Although WebSVN looks nicer, it does not scale well and ViewVC has a richer more functional click semantics.
2.) By convention perl man pages are supposed to end in "p". The current package seems to depart from this though I am not sure how intentionally.
3.) I was most puzzled by the maps directory. As far as I can see these are examples and I have installed them as such.
4.) I was also surprised by the DM-Upload-Allowed flag as I have not seen one before. It is howeve supported and there is no technical reason to remove. I wonder what your thoughts are with the package hopefully moving to a bigger team.

Daniel, Gregor just added you to the group. So I guess a welcome is in order. Also you can check out the #debian-perl irc channel. I find the Debian perl layout easier to use. You can apply to join at http://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-perl/. I am not sure it makes much sense to have a team as an uploader though. I don't think we need to do anything special with SVN. We just do "apt-get source; make changes and then svn-inject and purge the old repository". Two of the three are out of date.Yes, the result of lacking manpower. libsgmls-perl and libxml-parser-perl are orphaned. I just care about libxml-encoding-perl and I already saw, that there is a new release.libxml-parser-perl has dependencies that can be reduced now that libwww-perl is split. All are out of date with regard to standards. The bugs look easily addressable. Of course I could just update them in situ but the Perl group seems a more natural home and is very active.I agree to a move to the pkg-perl. All I request is, that the debian-xml-sgml maintainer address is put into Uploaders and that the packages are moved into a subversion tree. I would like to be added to the pkg-perl team (dleidert-guest). Do you need the full SVN dump of libxml-encoding-perl (or can you create it yourself?)? The others are still in CVS IIRC.
