I think I'll stick with them for the near term then. Is there any
reason why

   <figure id="fig-gimp-print-gui-1"><title>The Gimp-Print Graphical User Interface 2 (GUI)</title>
   <mediaobject>
   <imageobject>
   <imagedata scale="40" fileref="figures/gimp-print-gui-1.png" format="PNG"/>
   </imageobject>
   <textobject>
   <phrase>The GIMP Print GUI showing image/output settings</phrase>
   </textobject>
   </mediaobject>
   </figure>

should fail to work with the db2pdf (docbook-utils) in unstable? All
I, after running this (the warning doesn't look like it's my fault)

   $ db2pdf users-guide.xml
   Using catalogs: /etc/sgml/catalog
   Using stylesheet: /usr/share/sgml/docbook/utils-0.6.13/docbook-utils.dsl#print
   Working on: /home/roger/stp-devref/users-guide/users-guide.xml
   jade:/usr/share/sgml/declaration/xml.dcl:31:27:W: characters in the document character set with numbers exceeding 65535 not supported
   Done.

are the figure title and the caption. The image is not included. Is
additional information required, or is the above totally wrong?

Many thanks,
Roger
