I suggest we coordinate here and get a working implementation in place
before solidifying a Policy (whether Debian policy or LSB or
FreeStandards or whatever) document.
Standards should *follow* working implementation, not pre-date them.
Otherwise me might be left with another unworkable specification.
Hopefully this is what we are already planning to do...
