output-dir solved! Yes?

I am sorry to be spamming the list tonight, but I have had - once again - the
experience of gaining success with a problem exactly five minutes after I've
posted a query about it to the 'net.

Here's where I found "Processing Instruction" defined, with examples:

This is a nice piece of work Jorge! So with

<book><?dbhtml output-dir="/home/wingnut/jtan_site/newsite">

in my source SGML, and 

(define use-output-dir #t) 

in my stylesheet driver file, I am once again back in business.

One question remains: has this hassle been produced by a difference in DocBook
4.1 from 3.1, or by my ineptitude installing the latter?
