Ooo... Trying to install jadetex to Debian 2.1, I had to remove backslash before &latex and &pdflatex in /etc/texmf/jadetex/fmtutil.cnf to get jadetex.postinst to complete. I have some potato packages on a mostly slink system -- could this be biting me? Did removing the backslashes do what I want, or did it cause other problems? (Jadetex seems to run now...)
