Yes, a separate, isolated, network segment that is _only_ used for 
administrative/management data.  A separate NIC and hub for each cluster of 
servers isn't very expensive, and it almost never has to be more than 10BT, 
so doing it "on the cheap" can be a very quick solution to keeping syslog 
data isolated from production data.
