Well, this is a little kludgy, but it works.  Put this in your .muttrc:

# Inline encryption
macro   compose \CE             "Fgpg -ea\ny"
# Clearsign 
macro   compose \CP             "Fgpg --clearsign\ny"

You can then do inline encryption with Control-p.
