Re: Disk Complete Device Name

Larry,

Please verify the messages on /var/log/syslog (with other connection to INSTALLER via ssh), chose "shell menu" for ssh access.

Send the output file (during the error) for list.

Regards,

Subject: Disk Complete Device Name

I am installing Debian Linux on S390 for the first time.  I am at the point of the install where it says:
Choose Disk:
The instructions say to enter the complete device number.  I provide the 4 digit ucb address and it says “an invalid device number has been chosen”.

What does this mean?

Thanks,  ……….Larry
