Re: Installing PHP4

"No, I don't care about version numbers per se, but between mod_ssl for
Apache 1.3.26 and the current one for Apache 1.3.28 there have been several
bugfixes and one security fix, so why would anyone install the old one that
has bugs and security problems, especially when the package is a security
feature???"

Notice that the libapache-mod-ssl packege is from security section.
Meaning - it has all the recent security related bugs *fixed*.
http://packages.debian.org/stable/non-us/libapache-mod-ssl.html

That's the idea of stable - stability & security. Of course you don't have
the most recent softwarem but that usually worth it.
