I've updated ruby-ferret repository to a newer version. It is lintian
(almost) clean [1] and builds fine with cowbuilder.
Here is the changelog entry for this new version.

* Add TUTORIAL and debian/README.source to documents
* Override lintian warnings about duplicate descriptions of transitional
packages
