updating u-boot on StarFive2

Hi,

I have a StarFive2 RISC-V Board and used to work some time ago. I 
haven't used it in a while and am now trying to change that. I followed 
the instructions on the debian wiki but I have trouble updating u-boot. 
Starting with the second or third file it doesn't indicate the progress 
by printing '...' in the console but '???'. I assume it has something to 
with problem determining the filesize but I could not find an 
explanation in the documentation nor do I have an idea why that is. Can 
anyone give me a hint?
